Food Truck Fiesta App Reviews

Has random crashes and nonsense. The biggest one is, sometimes when looking at a particular truck, I cant get back to the main truck list because "Favorites" randomly becomes super imposed over the button to button to go back to the truck list. So then I have to restart the app. Sad! This shouldnt be such a hard app to get to work properly. Its basically plotting some Twitter feeds on a map. Whats the deal?

Doesnt work anywhere but DC, do dont travel with it. And dont expect it to not constantly crash. Glad I dropped 99¢ on this crap.

This app said there were only two trucks on 7th Street next to Verizon Center and National Gallery. Didnt seem right and sure enough, there were the usual 10 or so trucks lined up. No thanks, if this basic aspect cant be relied upon. I simply see no use for this app and will be asking for a refund.

If you think twitter is dumb and use facebook as little as a recent post-graduate can, but love DC food trucks, its worth the $0.99.

The app was fab when it worked for 2 days. Not worth the $$. Has not worked consistently in over a month.

Its great that it shows the daily location of each truck. But when you tap the truck, it only shows its twitter. There should be a link to the trucks website, or even give a description of the type of food it serves and the menu.

Much easier than trying to look at their website on the iPhone browser. Looking forward to more food trucks updating with frequency.

This app would be ok if it actually had all of the food trucks that are listed on the website! I compared the two today, and the website had around 2x as many trucks listed compared to the app. Until this is fixed, and the app is always in sync with the website, this app is unreliable. EDIT: They seem to have synced the maps between the desktop and iPhone versions. If this app zoomed in on your current location when it first starts up and improved the speed of loading tweets, it would be perfect.

All it does is provide a link to the trucks twitter feeds. There are many lists on Twitter that provide the same service for free.

Would be better if it did more then just show the twitter feed. Listing them Would be easier especially on days where they are all clumped together. If I wanted a twitter feed then I would twitter. $.99 spent to support a local app creator. Eh, better off looking on fb or twitter.

Not useful. Merely provides locations. More info about what each truck sells would help.

The twitter feed does not work. I emailed support for iPhone users & no reply. Do not buy...waste of $$!

This should be free. Has 0 features and certainly not worth .99¢. You can get more information off the website on Safari than using this app. First, the box only links to the trucks twitter feed, should provide truck info and menu. Second, a list view option would be great. I would certainly be happy to change my review if some of these updates could be made, but as it stands now, this is just not a useful app.

I work near the Navy Yard and theres always 3 to 5 trucks nearby, now I can see what trucks are down there without having to venture out of my office. Or if I want one in particular, I know where I have to travel to. Brilliant!

I find this to be a useful way to quickly track nearby food trucks when I am not at a computer. For 99 cents it is worth it just for efficiency. Improvements in menu description would help, but I suspect thats a work in progress. Glad this is available.

Whatever problems they had before must have been fixed. I have used this app every day this week and it worked great. I love it! You can click on a food truck, then see its tweets AND its menu! The only one Ive had problems with is Fojol Brothers (due to size limit restrictions?). Everything else has been smooth and awesome. Totally worth $.99!

The only usefulness of this app is having a list of trucks. The map does not work as indicated!!!

Paid for a really nice Google map of my location & no trucks listed (at all). Even when I was next to the food trucks, they never populated into my map OR the listing of trucks. Hoping it will work soon in the next upgrade :(

Ive had this app for nearly a year. It works off the twitter feeds. So, as long as the trucks update their status, the app works fine. I hope the next version 2.0 includes an RSS feed for news off the FTF site.
